Interesting facts: From Obituary for William J. Cooper, Maple Lake See photo 3 below
The grim reaper Death has again called one of our oldest residents in the person of William Cooper after a short illness with great suffering. All that medical aid could do was done but of no avail. Mr Cooper was born at Boskung Lake in 1873. He lived there until about 35 years ago when he bought a farm at Maple Lake and made a home for himself and family. Mr. Cooper made many friends, always lived an upright and honest life, and was a staunch member of the Anglican Church, always ready to help in the work for the benefit of the church of which he was a regular attendant.
