Interesting facts: 

Mr. Lorne Barry, who used to farm on the northwest side of Grass Lake, (Green Lake on up-to-date maps) turned up flint artifacts in such quantities that an Indian village site, or at least a much frequented camping ground, seems indicated. Source: In Quest of Yesterday by Nila Reynolds.
