Joseph Pritchard was the Reeve of Stanhope from 1877-79, 1890-91, and 1894-96.

Joseph and his wife Elizabeth had 11 children: See photo below
     - Stewart (b. 1861) was kicked by a horse in September of 1898 at the Minden Fair and died at the age of 17.
     - Harold (b. 1897) shown in his mother's arms in the photo, was killed by a log that rolled over him in 1900 at the age of 18 months.
