Interesting facts:

John Jarvis and his family emigrated to the United States. By 1885, they were living in North Dakota. According to the birthplaces of their children, in the next twenty years they moved to Wisconsin, back to North Dakota, then to Minnesota before returning to North Dakota around 1905. They later moved back to Minnesota where John died in 1918.
