From his Obituary, see full newspaper report below:
     He was in his 60th year and the fourth son of Richard and Julia Fry and was born in the City of Toronto. In 1900 he moved with his parents to Carnarvon and worked with his father in the Blacksmith Shop. In 1904 he married Edith Violet Sisson, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clair H. Sisson. His next work was a his trade with the Lumber Co at Longford Mills and Dorset. He then purchased Robertson & Overton's Blacksmith Shop in Haliburton which he operated proitably for several years. He sold this business and moved to the village of Coboconk whre he did the blacksmithing for the Canada Lime Co. and the Gull River Lumber Co.
      From Coboconk he moved to Maple Lake where he built up a lovely home and at the time of his death was engaged in the Tourist trade. When not catering to tourists he worked his trade and two weeks before his death was employed at Crooked Lake.

Sephrona  Haskell was the teacher at Carnarvon and she boarded with the Sisson family. She was such an influence on Clair and Louise that they named their last daughter after her.
