Dates of residency: No record yet. George James Matlock, born c1855, was from the Dunnville area of Haldimand County. The Barry and Blott families had moved from there to settle in Stanhope. He may have applied for a land grant as a young man, but decided not to move here. He eventually settled in Essex county.
