Interesting facts:

Edward Noice was the only member of the Noice family to remain in Minden during the "Go West" exodus of 1882. He became Deputy Registrar of Lutterworth under S. S. Peck. Source: In Quest of Yesterday by Nila Reynolds. Published by The Provisional County of Haliburton, Minden, Ontario 1973 pg. 127. In the late 1800's Edwards's father, John Noice and his wife, Mary Dickey, moved to Pembina County, ND, with all children but Edward who remained in Minden, Ontario.

Ed Noice had a general store in Minden which was consumed by flames in 1890 along with many other stores near  and including the Dominion Hotel. Ibid. pg. 150, 228. Edward Noice purchased the Clergy House in Minden after his home was destroyed by fire. It had only one large room. He partitioned it and finished the interior before selling it in 1894 to Walter E. Wright. Ibid. pg 259
