Interesting facts:  Mr. McIlroy and his wife ran the Dorset House, a small hotel.  This location for many years had a hotel with the name changing slightly. The last hotel at this site was made of brick.  On the 1901 Census he is listed as living in Dorset Village which is where the hotel was located on the above lot and con.  At the time of the 1911 census there were five family members, one domestic, two boarders, and eight lodgers.

HIs son, Patrick Joseph McIlroy, owned property at Lot 24, Conc. 4, McClintock on Kawagama Lake west of Reich Road.
