From News from Hall's Lake, Haliburton Echo, June 13, 1974:
The Esso station previously owned by Flo. Cummings has been sold to a couple from Burlington, Dale and Carole MacDonald. Mr. MacDonald is a mechanic and has previously operated successful gas station businesses in Burlington so this should be quite an asset to this area. Although they have not taken up residence yet, we do wish to welcome them.
