Interesting facts:

Morris Windsor operated the Carnarvon Lumber yard until 1962. He had acquired metal saws, blades and pulleys from the Maple Lake sawmill. When he sold the yard to Bailys they bulldozed the saw mill equipment into the lake. Donna Irvine, a scuba diver who operated the Red Barn Snack Bar, found the equipment while diving in the lake.

When the Windsor Lumber Company operated a mill on Mirror Lake in Carnarvon, they stored logs in the little lake. When the lake froze, they could easily drive a truck onto the ice to retrieve logs.
