Interesting facts:

The Incorporated Synod of the Diocese of Toronto received this 10 acre plot of land from Her Majesty, Queen Victoria, in 1869. Ontario Land Parcel Register - Stanhope (Images 121).

The entry says "“A parcel 660’ x 660’ (10 chains x 10 chains) in the N.W. angle of the lot containing 10 acres +/-, as a site for a church burying ground”.

The rest of the 100 acre parcel was patented to David Henry Harrison in 1930. Ontario Land Parcel Register - Stanhope (Images 121).

In 1973 The Incorporated Synod of the Diocese of Toronto sold the property to Thomas A Welch (writing is difficult to read, so this might not be correct). Land Parcel Register - Stanhope (Images 129).
